Principal's message

Welcome to Port Hacking High School. This is one of the premier schools of the Sutherland Shire. It provides a disciplined and exciting learning environment in which students receive individual care and recognition for their achievements.

Our school motto is "Ardentibus Nil Ardui", to strive is to achieve. The Latin also contains a sense of passion for the challenges of learning, and this is what I and my staff encourage in your children. We expect our students to develop self discipline in pursuit of their goals and pride in their achievements. We ask parents to share in and reinforce these values at home so that the whole family is part of the Port Hacking community.

Port Hacking teachers bring out the best in their students by building strong relationships with them, by raising expectations of their achievements in learning, and by communicating with parents. Parents and students currently involved in the school tell us that we achieve these goals with great success, and our long history of student achievement in academic studies, sport and the performing arts confirms this.

We welcome many new members of the school community each year and my staff and I take great pride in helping parents to shape children into confident young adults. I welcome your interest in this great school.
