From the Principal

Welcome to term 3 at Port Hacking. We are geared up for the anniversary dinner on 15 August and Portfest on the 16th thanks to the efforts of your P&C, in particular Donna Morley who has done an enormous amount of work towards these events. Please come along and support Port Hacking’s golden anniversary.

Year 12 are working towards their trial HSC exams starting on 21 August. This is the most intense time for Year 12 - finishing off courses and final assessment tasks, finalising projects and performances due later this term for real HSC marks and preparing for the trials as a full rehearsal for the HSC. This is when the value of time management and self discipline become clear. Last term we offered year 12 students the opportunity to work with a teacher mentor - this is when students need to be working closely with their teachers on revision and review. Every review session now can add value to their results, and as a parent I know that what you need to do is watch and support wherever you can.

Our year 7 numbers for next year continue to be very strong, with a waiting list of very good students keen to join us. I am proud of the fact that the vast majority of our local students come here, and we have worked hard to ensure that we are school of first choice for many students outside our boundaries. Thank you to all our current students and parents who enhance our reputation by speaking so highly of Port Hacking.
