Entertainment
The Entertainment Industry is a 2 unit, 240-hour course. The purpose of this course is to provide students with the opportunity to gain a range of general skills and knowledge suitable for entry to employment in live production, theatre and events industries.
Students complete 70 hours of work placement in the entertainment industry as part of the course. The course is nationally accredited and carries a Certificate 111. An extended written HSC examination will be conducted for this course. This exam is optional.
Units of study include:
- Communicate in the workplace
- Apply a general knowledge of vision systems to work activities
- Deal with conflict and resolve complaints
- Source and apply entertainment industry knowledge
- Provide first aid
- Apply general knowledge of lighting to work activities
- Follow health safety and security procedures.
